James Dale-Adcock

Strategic Development Director at Cranleigh School

Mr James Dale-Adcock is the Strategic Development Director. He has been with Cranleigh for 20 years, formerly as Deputy Head, and then Acting Head, at the Prep School in 2018. After graduating in Geography from London University, Mr Dale-Adcock started his teaching career at Summer Fields School, Oxford, before completing a secondary PGCE and moving to Cranleigh. Mr Dale-Adcock is well known on the Independent Prep School circuit and is the author of the Galore Park (Hodder Education) Geography text book series.

During his career Mr Dale-Adcock has advised on education policy within the independent sector and was also an Executive Trustee and served on the Governing Body of Surrey’s first Free School. He is an expert in Prep School academic development, curriculum and staff recruitment and played an instrumental part in ensuring the initial curriculum at Cranleigh Abu Dhabi was successful. Mr Dale-Adcock is the key executive contact for all overseas schools matters within the Cranleigh Family of Schools.
