Joel Bein has nine years of work experience, beginning in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as Assistant Conductor for High Desert Winds, and from 2010 to 2016, they were the Director of Bands (4-8) for El Dorado Community School. In 2014, they began working as a Graduate Student Instructor for the University of Michigan - School of Music, Theatre & Dance. From 2012 to 2018, they were the Conductor of the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, they took on the role of Artistic Director/Conductor for the New Orleans Chamber Players, and they also became the Host of the Exponentially Empowered Podcast. In 2020, they started working for Career Hackers as Chief Executive Officer, Head of Growth and Partnerships, and Partnerships, Content, and Customer Success. Additionally, they became an SDR/BDR Bootcamp for Victory Lap.

Joel Bein received their Bachelor's of Music Education from the State University of New York College at Potsdam in 2010. Joel then went on to receive their Master's of Music in Wind Conducting from the University of Michigan in 2016.
