Brett Goetschius

Brett Goetschius has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Brett is currently the Editorial Director at CRB Monitor, where they are responsible for developing and executing news and event products on the regulated cannabis markets in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to this, they served as the CEO & Publisher at MarketNexus Media from 2012 to 2022, where they focused on connecting and providing platforms for participants in innovating asset classes through online news sites, subscription research reports, and conferences. Before that, they worked as an Editor & Publisher at DealFlow Media from 2003 to 2012. Brett also has experience as a Freelance Writer & Editor for BG Editorial, where they managed content production for B2B financial investment publications. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Product Manager - News at VentureOne from 2000 to 2001, leading editorial content creation for an online and print publisher and data provider to the venture capital market. Lastly, they started their career as an Assistant Managing Editor at Crittenden Research in 1988, where they served as a group editor and managed content production for several newsletters in the institutional real estate finance division. Throughout their career, Brett has shown leadership skills, managed staff, and has been involved in new product development and launch programs.

Brett Goetschius received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Writing from Drew University, where they studied from 1979 to 1983.
