Erney Mufa

Erney Mufa is a highly experienced professional in operational risk management, currently serving as Senior Manager of Operational Risk at CRDB Bank Plc since April 2016. Mufa plays a crucial role in coordinating the management of operational risks and supports the implementation of strategic plans to mitigate such risks. Previously, Mufa was the Head of Risk & Compliance at Amana Bank Limited from May 2011 to May 2016, contributing to the bank's risk management framework as part of the founding senior management team of Tanzania's first fully-fledged Sharia-compliant bank. Mufa's banking career began at Akiba Commercial Bank in 1999, where their roles included Microfinance Officer and later, Microfinance Group & Individual Lending Supervisor. Mufa has also completed training in risk management at Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd. Educational achievements include an MBA in Finance and a CIBF in Islamic Banking and Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam and the University of Zanzibar, respectively.
