Helen Trew Frsa

Helen Trew FRSA is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community engagement, arts, and human rights. Currently serving as the Director at Art27 Scotland and Just Festival Edinburgh, Helen focuses on projects that promote dignity for all individuals. With a strategic role at Creative Scotland in Equalities, Diversity, and Inclusion, Helen has contributed to internal and external initiatives across the arts sector. Previous positions include Head Producer for significant film projects at Theatre Workshop Scotland and managerial roles in creative learning and youth empowerment. An experienced access and outreach officer at National Museums Scotland, and a former Head of Community, Education, and Outreach at Belfast International Arts Festival, Helen's diverse background also includes a decade-long professional acting career. Helen holds a BA Hons in Photography, Film, and Television from Edinburgh Napier University.
