Vice President Of Education at Creative Visions

Jessica Burnquist is the founder of J. Burnquist Solutions, a company that provides tangible steps for organizations to maximize their impact in educational programming and help nonprofits reach their full potential. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Education at Creative Visions Foundation, where they facilitated online and direct programming for educators and youth. Jessica also worked as the Director of Rock Your World: Human Rights Education, the educational division of Creative Visions Foundation. Before that, Jessica was a Freedom Writers Teacher at the Freedom Writers Foundation and a teacher at J.O. Combs Unified School District. Jessica has also worked as a columnist at Smarty Mommies, a teaching ambassador at Rock Your World/Creative Visions, a staff writer at Luna Luna Magazine, and a teaching artist at the Young Writers Program/Arizona State University. Jessica began their career as an instructor at Mesa Community College.

Jessica Burnquist has a Master's Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing/Poetry from Arizona State University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing/Poetry from the University of Arizona, from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their educational background, Jessica has also obtained additional certifications, including a Certificate of Secondary Education from the Arizona Department of Education in August 2013, and they became a Founding Member of Thousand Oaks Women for Good in March 2023, in an institution called Grapevine.
