Joel Frederick

Joel Frederick has a diverse work experience, starting from their recent position as Vice President of Education at BLK Capital Management, Corp. Joel previously worked as an Equity Research Analyst at the same company. Before that, they were a Fellow at Fireside Fellows and a Summer Analyst at Deutsche Bank. Joel also served as an Academic Coach and a Resident Advisor at the University at Buffalo, where they were also a Teaching Assistant for a specific course. Joel gained further experience as a Career Prep Fellow at Management Leadership for Tomorrow and as the Director of External Relations at UB School of Management Minority Alliance. Joel participated in the SEO Edge program offered by SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity). Additionally, they held the roles of Portfolio Manager and Chief Economist at Terese Kelly Investment Group. Joel also participated in the Exploring Ares | Diversity in Alternative Investing program at Ares Management Corporation and the TD Securities 2023 Launch Program at TD Securities.

Joel Frederick completed their high school education at Medgar Evers College Preparatory School from 2014 to 2021, where they obtained a High School Diploma. In 2021, they enrolled in the University at Buffalo and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus in Finance, General. This education is expected to continue until 2025.

In addition to their formal education, Joel has also earned certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In September 2022, they participated in the Markets (Sales and Trading) Virtual Experience Program offered by JPMorgan Chase & Co. Joel also completed the Bloomberg Market Concepts certification program provided by Bloomberg LP in April 2022.
