Chris Herron

CEO & Co-Founder at Creature Comforts Brewing

Chris Herron is the CEO and Co-Founder of Creature Comforts Brewing. Chris has over fifteen years of experience in the alcohol beverage industry, with a focus on finance and sales.

Herron began their career as a Sales Intern at Miller Brewing Company in 2002. Chris quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Sales Manager trainee and then an On-Premise Sales Manager. In 2005, they left Miller to join Diageo as Finance Director for the Open States Spirits and Wines business. Chris was responsible for all financial planning and analysis for the business, as well as managing the P&L for the US National Accounts, Military, Non-Alc, and Catalyst businesses. Chris oversaw a team of nine people and was responsible for setting the strategic guidance, tracking and mitigating risks, and delivering the annual operating plan.

In 2014, Herron left Diageo to become the CEO and Co-Founder of Creature Comforts Brewing. Under their leadership, the company has become one of the fastest-growing breweries in the United States.

Chris Herron graduated from Woodward Academy before attending the Honors College of University of South Carolina. They obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a finance and marketing specialty in international business.

Jacob Yarbrough - Sustainability Manager, Cole Nicholson - Director of Strategy, and Greg Kirbabas - National Accounts Director report to Chris Herron.
