Lead Data Scientist at Credibly

Jason Chiang has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and consulting. Jason currently works as a Lead Data Scientist at Credibly. Previously, they held the position of Senior Consultant - Data Science at Capgemini from 2017 until 2022. Before that, they worked as an Independent Data Science Consultant, where they built data pipelines, developed algorithms for transportation apps, and created SQL-based reports for marketing campaigns and user activity assessment.

Jason also has experience in the education sector, having worked as a Technical Admissions Officer at Galvanize Inc, where they conducted coding interviews and completed a data science immersive program.

Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Sage-N Research, Inc., where they built classification models for mass spectrometry data analysis in cancer research. Jason also served as a Lab Assistant at Stanford University Mass Spectrometry and as a Co-President of SB Lion Dance, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills.

Jason'searly work experience includes a role as a Data Entry Intern at Sage-N Research, Inc., where they processed mass spectrometry trials and edited promotional videos. Jason also volunteered as a Student Ambassador for the Beijing Olympics through Camp International.

Jason Chiang obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Jason has also obtained several certifications, including the AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021, and various Coursera Verified Certificates in topics such as Practical Machine Learning, Regression Models, Reproducible Research, Statistical Inference, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox, all obtained in 2014 and 2015.
