Samuel Carrasco

Vice President Research & Chief Economist Chile at Credicorp Capital

Samuel Carrasco has extensive work experience in the field of economics. Samuel is currently working at Credicorp Capital as the Vice President Research & Chief Economist for Chile. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Economist at the same company. Before joining Credicorp Capital, they worked for the Bank for International Settlements in their Monetary & Economic Department. Additionally, Carrasco has worked at the Central Bank of Chile in various roles, including Economist in the Macroeconomic Analysis Unit and Economic & Financial Analyst in the National Accounts Unit. Samuel has also gained experience as a Productivity Analyst at Mapfre and conducted Economic Research at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Carrasco began their career with an internship at the Central Bank of Chile.

Samuel Carrasco has a Master's degree in Economic Policy from Columbia University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2019. Before that, they studied Economics as an exchange student at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2008. Samuel completed their undergraduate education at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business and Economics. In addition to their degrees, Samuel Carrasco has also obtained certifications in GRE and TOEFL from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) in 2017.
