Robert Funk

Robert Funk is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Robert has held various positions in the banking industry, starting with their current role as the Director of Portfolio Balance Growth - Modeling and Analytics at Credit One Bank since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Union Bank from 2010 to 2017, where they served as the Director, Model Verification Team Leader in the Credit Examination for the Americas (CEA) division. Their responsibilities included reviewing and assessing models and end user computing tools related to consumer and small business lending, Basel III, ICAAP, allowance for credit loss, CECL, operations risk, treasury interest rate and liquidity risk, market risk, and petroleum engineering. Robert also effectively communicated with examiners and auditors to provide insights and understanding of quantitative issues. Before their tenure at Union Bank, Robert was a Senior Credit Examiner and a Risk Management Consultant at Wells Fargo from 1998 to 2010.

Robert Funk has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics, both from Washington State University. Robert also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Data Analyst with R Track from DataCamp and Python for Everybody Specialization from the University of Michigan/Coursera.
