Marla Whipple

Marla Whipple has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Marla started their career as a Counseling Center Intern at The University of Texas at El Paso, where they provided counseling to students and developed workshops on women's issues. Marla then worked as a Testing & Admissions Manager at American Mensa, evaluating potential members and overseeing the assessment process. Marla later joined Maryville College as the Director of Assessment, where they supervised staff and interpreted career-counseling results for students.

In 2007, Marla joined Academic Impressions and held various roles, including Conference Director, Director of Program Design, and Senior Conference Director, Student Affairs. During their time there, they designed and implemented numerous professional development conferences and built relationships with stakeholders. Marla also supervised staff, managed multiple projects, and developed program evaluation processes.

Currently, Marla is working at Credit Union of Colorado. Marla started as a Senior Learning & Development Business Partner and conducted competency assessments and provided coaching for training facilitators. Marla then became the Learning & Development Manager, overseeing all organizational learning initiatives. Currently, Marla serves as the Director of People Culture and Communication, where they strategize employee recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Marla also provides executive coaching and leadership training.

Marla Whipple has a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas at El Paso, which they obtained in the year 2000. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Miami University from the years 1993 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Marla Whipple has also obtained a certificate in Rapid Video Development for Learning from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in May 2016.
