Mike Darne has over 25 years of experience in marketing and brand strategy. Mike began their career in 1994 as Managing Director of Marketing at Sallie Mae. In 2006, they joined Capital One as Director of Brand Strategy. Mike was promoted to Senior Director of Loyalty & Rewards Strategy, Quicksilver Brand Strategy, Social Media & Mobile Marketing, and Brand Strategy. In 2008, they moved to Marriott International as Vice President of Marketing Strategy. In 2015, they founded GrowLever, an agency focused on helping B2B/B2C entrepreneurs grow their companies. In 2017, they joined UpsideDoor as Chief Marketing Officer and, in 2019, they took on the same role at Manor. In 2020, they became Vice President of Brand Strategy at Stand Together, and in 2021 they joined CreditXpert as Vice President of Marketing.
Mike Darne earned their MBA in Marketing & Strategy from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business between 2000 and 2002. Prior to that, they earned their BA in Philosophy from Brigham Young University between 1990 and 1994. Mike has also taken courses from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, including Kellogg on Branding: Building, Leveraging & Rejuvenating Your Brand, Managing New Product Development for Competitive Advantage, Business Marketing Strategy, and Web Metrics from The Wharton School.
