Process Development Engineer at Cree LED

Amelia Kidd is a Process Development Engineer at Cree LED since July 2022, with prior experience as a Project Intern at Eastman, where project work focused on designing and simulating a global-scale dehydrogenation process. During academic years at Virginia Tech, Amelia served as a tutor in the Student Success Center, helping undergraduate students in various STEM courses, while also gaining hands-on experience in chemical engineering through extensive laboratory work. Additional roles include commissioned artist for the Church of the Holy Spirit, where Amelia designed and painted murals for the Children's Ministry, and a sustainability intern at Carilion Clinic, performing cost analyses and promoting the use of green chemicals. Amelia holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, completed in 2022.
