John Schetz

John Schetz serves as General Counsel at Cresco Labs since June 2018, leading the Legal and Compliance functions while advising the executive leadership team and Board on a wide range of legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance in the cannabis industry. Previously, John held the position of Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at Stericycle from June 2009 to November 2017, where responsibilities included overseeing global legal affairs and providing counsel on M&A and complex litigation. Additionally, John spent nearly eight years at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, progressing from Senior Counsel in Mergers and Acquisitions to Partner in the Corporate Department, advising various companies and private equity firms on diverse corporate transactions. John earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Law from the University of Michigan Law School.
