Barbara Young

Barbara is a Senior Managing Director with Cresset. Prior to joining the firm, Barbara was Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Founding Principal of Cypress Wealth Advisors. Barbara has extensive financial and investment experience working with individuals, families and foundations. She is responsible for firm management, investments and client relationships. Prior to founding Cypress Wealth Advisors, she was the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Springcreek Corporation, a wealth advisory firm that managed investment assets for high net worth families. Earlier in her career, she worked at JP Morgan Chase’s Private Bank and Wells Fargo’s Private Bank. Barbara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, and a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She also holds a Certificate of Financial Planning.
