Giorgio Carbone

Giorgio Carbone has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry and project management. Giorgio started their career as a PDRA at The University of Nottingham in 2011, where they focused on various areas of organic chemistry including the development of new methodologies for amide bond formation, biomimetic synthesis, and click chemistry. In 2013, they joined Sygnature Discovery Limited as a Senior Scientist 2 and served as a Project Leader until 2020. Giorgio'srole involved leading projects and conducting research in the field of chemistry. Since 2020, Giorgio has been working at Cresset software and discovery, where they first served as a Project Manager in the Discovery department and currently holds the position of Head of Operations - Discovery.

Giorgio Carbone pursued their education in the field of Organic Chemistry. Giorgio completed their Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Catania in the years 2005 to 2007. This was followed by their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of York, which they received between 2007 and 2011.

In addition to their academic achievements, Giorgio Carbone obtained a certification as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) from the Project Management Institute in March 2021.
