Ross Oliver

Ross Oliver is a partner of the firm and the general counsel. He leads the firm’s legal and compliance functions.

Ross Oliver joined Crestview in 2011. Ross is a partner of the firm and the general counsel. He leads all legal and compliance functions. Ross has over 20 years of experience in private equity, mergers, and acquisitions, and tax as both an attorney and a CPA. He joined Crestview from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP where he focused on investment management and capital markets and served as outside counsel to Crestview. Previously, Ross clerked for federal district Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga and was a senior manager in the mergers and acquisitions group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Ross was formerly on the boards of directors of Crestview portfolio companies Arxis Capital Group, Cumulus Media, and Industrial Media. He is also a member of the board of directors of the American Investment Council, an advocacy and resource organization for the private investment industry. Ross received a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings, M.S. in taxation from American University, and a B.B.A., summa cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University. Ross speaks regularly at industry conferences on topics affecting the private equity industry. He is admitted to the bar of New York and is a member of the New York City Bar Association.
