Shefali Vaidya

Shefali Vaidya is a Senior Research Associate at CRISPR Therapeutics since May 2021, having previously held the position of Research Associate II. Additionally, Vaidya serves as a Peer Reviewer for the journal MAbs under Publons from September 2020. Vaidya gained experience as a Graduate Research Associate at Dr. Zhaohui Sunny Zhou Laboratory (SunnyLand), Northeastern University, from July 2020 to August 2021, focusing on protein chemistry applications in biology and medicine. A research assistant co-op position at Merck involved developing protein purification methods and synthesizing protein conjugates. Earlier training in chromatography and spectroscopy was completed at SIES Institute of Chromatography and Spectroscopy. A summer internship at the International Center for Stem Cells, Cancer and Biotechnology provided hands-on experience in molecular biotechnology and bioinformatics. Vaidya's academic background includes a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Dr. D. Y Patil University.
