Job description

The Quality Assurance Specialist takes a holistic view of all projects, working with our testing team based in Costa Rica. You will work closely with Project Managers and Technologists to mitigate risks and manage delivery, so strong organizational and interpersonal skills are key.  You will have the opportunity to work across a range of world-class brands, applying your skills to large and small projects including complex back-end systems, social apps, rich interactive web experiences and even physical digital products. The QA Specialist is a self-starter, working as part of core project teams to see projects through from conception to delivery and on-going monitoring and refinement.

You Will: 

  • Monitor the quality of projects based on the requirements and design specifications 
  • Attend meetings, provide status updates, learn, and provide feedback 
  • Communicate test results, issues, and risks found to project team members, project managers, and QA management through the various channels 
  • Be co-responsible for the quality of projects based on the requirements and design specifications. 
  • Identify test data, create and maintain comprehensive test plans, write and maintain test cases/scripts 
  • Apply industry standard testing methodology, strategies and industry best practices 
  • Create traceability matrix documents and checklist documentation based upon project requirements 
  • Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution 
  • Create reports and related metrics at different levels 
  • Perform functional and non-functional testing  
  • Execute regression tests based on design specifications and requirements  
  • Support QA estimate creation 
  • Continuously grow knowledge of QA best practices, processes, and automation tools 

You Have: 

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other team members as needed to achieve shared goals and the success of projects. 
  • Good understanding of project lifecycle, industry standards, testing methodologies 
  • Ability to ask the right questions and identify if any information is missing or unclear 
  • Ability to identify and raise risks 
  • Ability to analyze and understand details and requirements of projects and tickets 
  • Ability to provide direct, clear and concise feedback
