Tim Vermassen

Tim Vermassen started their work experience in 2016 as a Student Job in Logistics at UZA. In 2017, they worked as a Waiter at A-Events while continuing their studies. In 2019, Tim worked as a Data Scientist at AXA, where they gained insights in Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence while working on a business case to predict loan defaults. In 2019-2020, they had a Student Job as a Warehouse Employee at Valvesco. In 2020, they worked a Student Job as a delivery person at Ocean Sushi. From 2021 to 2022, Tim worked at KPMG Belgium as a Financial Risk Manager - Advisor, conducting quantitative research and creating risk analysis models for clients. Currently, Tim is working as a Data Scientist at CROPLAND, where they transform raw data into business insights using AI and also performs financial stress testing for companies.

Tim Vermassen completed their education in a chronological manner. Tim began by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Handelsingenieur at the University of Antwerp - Faculty of Business and Economics from 2016 to 2019. Tim then proceeded to attain a Master's degree in Financial Engineering at the same institution from 2019 to 2021.

In 2021, Tim decided to further enhance their knowledge by enrolling in a Microdegree in Artificial Intelligence at Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen - Vlaamse Autonome Hogeschool, which they completed in 2022. Additionally, they participated in a summer school program called "Doing Business in the USA and China" at the University of Antwerp - Faculty of Business and Economics in 2021, further enriching their skills in the field of Handelsingenieur.
