James Shoetan

James Shoetan is the current Principal and Chief Commercial Officer at Crossboundary. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from November 2015 to April 2018. There, they participated in a vendor due diligence of a key player within the global aboveground storage market (AST) and managed a second year associate for an interview and primary research campaign to determine the size, customer buying process, and competitive landscape of the Asian and Middle Eastern large AST markets. James also analyzed 84 interviews of market participants and conducted secondary research to determine market model inputs and to assess growth drivers, growth opportunities and competitive landscape within the global AST market.

Before their time at The Boston Consulting Group, Shoetan worked as a Summer Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting from June 2014 to August 2014.

James Shoetan has earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Wharton School of Business and a B.S.E. from Duke University. In addition, they have earned a certification from Corality Financial Modelling in Best Practice Project Finance Modelling.

They work with Wanjiru Ngige - Senior Operations Manager, Gabriel Davies - Managing Director & Head of Energy Access, and Tessa Lee - Head of Energy Policy & Regulatory Affairs. Their manager is Matt Tilleard, Co-Founder & Managing Partner.
