Laura Laughridge

Laura Laughridge currently serves as the Chief Advancement Officer at Penland School of Craft, a position held since June 2024. In addition, Laura has been the Director of Development for the College of Fine & Applied Arts at Appalachian State University since May 2019. Laura has extensive experience in human resources as an HR Generalist at Crossnore School Inc. since January 2015, focusing on recruiting, new hire orientation, policy drafting, and PQI coordination. Previously, Laura held the role of Executive Director for the Mayland Community College Foundation from January 2009 to January 2015, where responsibilities included fundraising, donor relations, event planning, and scholarship administration. Laura completed a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature at Appalachian State University.
