Erdem Arslan

Erdem Arslan has a diverse work experience in the field of network and security consulting. Erdem started their career at Fintek as a Senior Network Engineer and worked there from 2002 to 2010. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining the operational effectiveness and optimizing the core network, LAN/WAN, and data center network.

After that, they joined ISN Solutions Ltd as a Senior Network Architect in 2011. Here, they optimized and secured the WAN and data center network of Afren PLC, consisting of one headquarters and five remote offices. Erdem also designed and performed the MPLS integration of Afren PLC WAN.

Erdem then worked as a Technical Consultant at Nokia at BT Global Services from November 2011 to December 2012. Erdem was involved in providing technical consulting services during this period.

In 2013, Erdem had two roles. First, they worked as a Network Architect at NetworkIQ, where they were in charge of the London Web Core Network upgrade project. Erdem performed a detailed audit of the current core network and provided recommendations to resolve existing issues. Erdem also troubleshooted and resolved urgent performance issues.

During the same year, Erdem worked at Hiscox as a Network and Security Consultant from June 2013 to October 2013.

In 2014, Erdem joined High Point Solutions as a Network and Security Consultant. Erdem completed the audit of Markit data centers and carried out the Checkpoint Firewall VSX Consolidation assessment for MarkitSERV Greenfield Data Centre.

Erdem then worked at Worldpay as a Network and Firewall Consultant from June 2014 to June 2015. Erdem was responsible for application network design and delivery operations on the WP data center network infrastructure.

From 2016 to 2017, Erdem worked as an F5 Consultant at Roc Technologies. Erdem was in charge of designing and implementing LTM, GTM, APM, and ASM on Viprion vCMP platforms for Schlumberger. Erdem also completed the Netherlands DCs F5 Multi-Tenant vCMP project.

In 2018, Erdem joined Centrica as a Network Security Consultant. Erdem worked in this role from October 2018 to March 2019.

Currently, Erdem works at Crown Agents Bank as a Cloud Architect, starting from August 2019.

Throughout their career, Erdem has gained expertise in various technologies and platforms such as Juniper SRX, Fortinet Fortigate, Cisco ASA, Junos Space, FortiManager, Skybox, Splunk, Riverbed Steelhead, ASA 5520/5510, DMVPN, IPSEC Redundancy, Cisco 3845, Cisco 2911, Cisco 4900M, BGP, OSPF, QoS, DSCP Marking, Cisco PfR (OER).

Erdem Arslan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Middle East Technical University (Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi) in 1998. Erdem then pursued a Masters Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Gazi University, which they completed in 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Erdem Arslan has obtained several certifications. Erdem became a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Enterprise Infrastructure (CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure) - Emeritus in February 2022. Erdem also holds certifications such as HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (002), CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, F5 Certified! Technical Specialist, BIG-IP ASM (F5-CTS, BIG-IP ASM), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, AWS Network – SME Specialty, Mulesoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), among others. Erdem'scertifications reflect their expertise in various areas of technology, including cloud computing, networking, security, and software development.
