Mike Dobson is currently the Marine Energy Sector Lead at The Crown Estate, where a focus on marine energy aims to create enduring social, environmental, and financial value. Previously, Mike served as the UKIMEA Tidal Energy Leader at Arup, advocating for renewable energy advancements crucial for achieving Net Zero targets, while also leading the Mersey Tidal Power Outline Business Case. Additional roles at Arup included Associate, offering strategic climate change advice to clients, and Senior Engineer, managing teams and conducting research on flood risk management and resilience analysis. Prior experience includes Project Manager/Principal Engineer at Black & Veatch with significant responsibilities in business development and representation at the Environment Agency, as well as early project management roles at Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council. Mike holds a BSc Hons in Geography from Lancaster University.
