Carter Stern

Carter Stern is an accomplished professional in government affairs and public policy, currently serving as the Senior Director of Global Government Affairs and Community Engagement at Cruise since March 2021. Prior roles include the Head of Public Affairs for REEF and various positions at Lyft, focusing on public policy management. Stern's experience in external affairs was further developed at ofo, where management of stakeholder engagement and grassroots support across North America was pivotal. As the Executive Director of Houston Bike Share, responsibilities involved communications and strategic planning for the nonprofit. Stern began a legal career with roles at several law firms and judicial clerkships after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Bates College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center.
