Tim Piastrelli

Tim Piastrelli is the Vice President of Security & Architecture at Cruise Automation. Tim is responsible for executive ownership and internal consultation for all global architecture initiatives around systems, security and infrastructure. Part of Cruise's "Skunk Works" development and technology team, Tim has been instrumental in building the next generation SDDC/SDN infrastructure, as well as designing a message bus & microservice architecture.

Other notable accomplishments include leading the charge on security evangelism & compliance, building a distributed smart document platform, and developing a security counterintelligence and monitoring platform. Tim is a thought leader in the industry, and their work has been published in numerous prestigious journals.

A passionate advocate for continuous innovation, Tim has also been instrumental in pushing the limits of continuous integration and delivery. Tim is a strong leader and motivator, with a proven track record of successfully managing and developing high growth teams.
