Robert Smyczynski has a wide range of work experience in the automotive industry. Robert is currently the Head of LV Innovation and Advanced Engineering at Dana Incorporated since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Stelantis as the Head of Advance Propulsion Technologies from January 2021 to August 2021. Robert also held various roles at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles including Head of Propulsion Systems Architectures, Global Powertrain Chief Engineer, Global Powertrain Platform Manager, and Powertrain Integration Manager from June 2018 to January 2021, October 2015 to June 2018, January 2013 to October 2015, and August 2010 to January 2013, respectively. Robert previously worked at Chrysler LLC as the Manager of Vehicle Engineering Electrification and Concepts from January 2005 to October 2010. Robert began their career at Daimler Chrysler as an Engineer Supervisor from January 1997 to January 2005 and at Chrysler Motors Corp as an Engineer Applications and Systems Development from August 1988 to January 1997.
Robert Smyczynski received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering from Oakland University in 1985. Robert then pursued a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Oakland University, completing it in 1988.
