Software Engineer (infrastructure Team) at Crunch.io

Riccardo Candido's work experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Crunch.io, where they joined the collaboration team to develop the core modules of their stack. Riccardo successfully implemented a validation mechanism to monitor improper data and completed a refactor of their Feature Flag System.

Prior to that, Riccardo worked as a Software Engineer at an undisclosed company, where they managed CI/CD infrastructures across multiple security projects. Riccardo implemented microservices to deploy security solutions on different operating systems and created a monitoring system using Grafana and PostgreSQL. Riccardo also implemented testing pipelines to evaluate product reliability and gained familiarity with security concepts such as sandbox escape and shellcoding injection.

Riccardo also worked at CERN as a Software Engineer, first as part of the Mail Team where they implemented an account management system using Python, and then as part of the INSPIRE team, where they contributed to a search engine for high-energy physics literature.

Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Software Engineer at CSAPSA, where they designed and developed a website for data collection using PHP, MySQL, and jQuery. Riccardo also had internships at YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP and GetConnected | Atlassian Platinum Enterprise Solution Partner, where they evaluated new technologies and developed applications using iBeacons.

Prior to their internships, Riccardo worked as a Software Developer at ESC Informatica, where they developed modules for data acquisition systems using Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, .NET framework, and Visual Basic.

Riccardo Candido earned their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, which they attended from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Engineering at the same institution from 2014 to 2018. In 2015, they also briefly studied at Boğaziçi University to further their Master's degree in Computer Engineering. Additionally, Riccardo obtained a B1 level certification in French from Supercomm Group in July 2019.
