Jonathan Katz

Jonathan Katz is the Vice President of Platform Engineering at Crunchy Data. Jonathan has been with the company since January 2018. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Technology at Paperless Post and a core team member and major contributor at the PostgreSQL Global Development Group. Jonathan has also been with United States PostgreSQL Association.

Katz has over 20 years of experience in software development and database architecture. Their focus areas include backend web development utilizing Python and Django, frontend web development utilizing jQuery, Backbone.js, and React, and server infrastructure planning and management utilizing several tools on the Ubuntu platform.

Jonathan Katz has a B.S. in computer science and a B.A. in mathematics from Tufts University. Jonathan also attended Ardsley High School.

They work with Joe Conway - VP, Engineering, Stephen Frost - CTO, and David Bagley - SVP, Worldwide Sales & Customer Success. Their manager is Bob Laurence, Co-Founder & CEO.
