Bill Courtney

Bill Courtney has had extensive work experience in proofreading and editing. Bill started their career in 1999 as the Principal and Owner of "Hey, Nice Catch, Bill!," a proofreading and editorial services company. In recent years, they have worked as a freelance proofreader for various companies, including Crunchyroll, Tribe Inc., Spire Agency, Magna IV, Slingshot, Cox Communications, The Richards Group, The Freeman Company, and RobbinsKersten Direct. Bill'smost recent role is as a Contract Proofreader for Crunchyroll, where they proofread and edits digital media, social and blog posts, and English captions for promotional videos. Throughout their career, Bill has gained familiarity with the anime industry and picked up some Japanese language skills. Bill'sfreelance proofreading positions have spanned from 2008 to 2023 with various companies.

Bill Courtney attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1979 to 1984, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Studio Art.
