Robert Gutschera

Robert Gutschera has extensive experience in the game design industry, currently serving as Lead Designer and Lead Systems Designer at Cryptic Studios since April 2014. Prior roles include Creative Producer and Lead Designer at Gazillion Entertainment from 2009 to 2013, and Senior Game Designer at The Amazing Society in early 2009. Prior to these positions, Robert held the role of Director of Development in R&D at Wizards of the Coast from 2005 to 2008, and worked as a Game Designer there from 1996 to 2008. Additionally, Robert contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Wellesley College from 1992 to 1996. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and an A.B. in Mathematics from Harvard University.
