Yaya Jata Fanusie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Yaya Jata has served as the Director of Policy for AML & Cyber Risk at the Crypto Council for Innovation since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Chief Strategist at Cryptocurrency AML Strategies, LLC starting in 2019. Yaya Jata has also worked as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security and as an Adjunct Fellow at the Foundation For Defense of Democracies. Additionally, Yaya has experience in the entertainment industry, having worked as a Producer at Sign Curve Studios. Yaya Jata has also held positions as a Senior Advisor at ICmed, LLC and as an Adjunct Professor at Morgan State University - Graves School of Business & Management. Yaya's expertise extends to academia as they have served as a Lead Advisor at UC Berkeley College of Engineering. Yaya Jata began their career as an Analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency. Yaya Jata Fanusie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1997. From 1998 to 2000, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs, International Finance, and Business from Columbia | SIPA. In November 2020, they obtained a certification as a Certified Financial Crime Specialist from the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists - ACFCS.
