Patrick Camilleri

Patrick Camilleri has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Patrick co-founded and worked at Crypto Quantique as the Co-founder and VP of Research & Innovation, focusing on quantum-driven cybersecurity for IoT security, using advanced cryptography and quantum physics. Patrick was also the Co-founder and CTO for the same company, redefining IoT security and bridging the gap between silicon, device, and cloud platforms. Prior to this, Patrick worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First. Patrick also has research experience as a Postdoc at the University of Manchester and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Rome. Patrick's academic background includes being a PhD Researcher at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and working as a Digital VLSI Engineer at Philips Semiconductors AG.

Patrick Camilleri began their education at the University of Malta in 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. Patrick successfully completed their degree in 2000. Following this, they went on to enroll at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in 2005. During their time there, they engaged in a doctoral program and ultimately obtained their Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2013.
