Eric Tuomey

Eric Tuomey has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in real estate development and planning. Eric is currently working as the Vice President of Development at Common Sail Investment Group since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Development at Olympia Development of Michigan from 2018 to 2022, where they played a key role in managing mixed-use residential and retail projects. Before that, they worked as a Senior Real Estate Manager at the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation from 2017 to 2018, where they handled gap financing deal structures and negotiated acquisition and development agreements. Additionally, they have worked as a Senior Consultant at Plante Moran, an Acquisition and Development Analyst at Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, and as the Director of Major Transactions at McKinley. Eric Tuomey also brings teaching experience as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan and program leadership as a Program Leader for the Detroit Youth Energy Squad at WARM Training Center. Eric started their career as a Planning Associate with the City of Dearborn in 2009.

Eric Tuomey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Urban Studies from Wayne State University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2010. Eric also holds a Master of Urban Planning degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Michigan, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Furthermore, Eric possesses a Professional Certificate in Real Estate Development from the University of Michigan that they obtained during the same time period.
