Simphiwe Busakwe has work experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer II at CSS Credit Solutions Services (Pty) Limited since April 2023. In this role, they gather business intelligence from various sources, analyze business requirements, identify markets for product development, and compile trends to support recommendations.
Prior to that, Simphiwe worked at Discovery Limited. They served as a Problem Analyst (Associate Specialist) from January 2021 to March 2023, resolving software and hardware incidents, changes, requests, and project rollouts. They also worked as an IT Support Engineer from December 2020 to January 2021, troubleshooting and resolving desktop hardware and software issues. Simphiwe started their career at Discovery as an IT Service Desk Agent (Intern) from March 2016 to January 2017 and later became an IT Service Desk Agent (Intermediate) from January 2017 to November 2020. In these roles, they provided IT support to corporate and regional staff, including desktop/laptop configuration and setup.
Simphiwe Busakwe's education history begins with their completion of the National Senior Certificate at Cingani High School in 2009. They then went on to attend Nelson Mandela University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a National Diploma in Software Development. In 2019, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in IT with a focus on Software Development and Information Systems at the same university. More recently, from 2023 to 2024, Simphiwe attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they earned a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computing, with a specialization in Information Systems and Computer Science.
In addition to their formal education, Simphiwe Busakwe has also obtained several certifications. They are Microsoft Certified in Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, and have completed the IT Service Management Foundations Problem Management course from LinkedIn. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Cisco CCNA Exploration: Network Fundamentals and Cisco IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software from the Cisco Networking Academy.
