Julien Hans

Julien Hans serves as the Director of Research and Innovation at CSTB since September 2003, overseeing the Energy Environment Department and its activities in sustainable building research, including renewable energy and energy performance. Previously, Julien held positions such as Head of the Environment Division, coordinating efforts in life cycle assessment and waste management, and has contributed as a researcher focused on durability assessment in construction products. Julien has also been a member of the RBR-T prospective group since January 2020 and has past experience at the Laboratory 3S. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Civil Engineering from École Normale Supérieure and a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Université Grenoble Alpes.
