Tracy White

Tracy White has a diverse work experience in the field of science and research. Tracy started their career as a Technician at UHI Millennium Institute, where they conducted analysis of water, sediment, and fish tissue for pesticides. Tracy also provided technical support and assisted in gaining UKAS accreditation for pesticide analysis services.

After that, Tracy worked at Aquapharm Biodiscovery Ltd as an Anti Infective Development Scientific Officer. Tracy'sresponsibilities included screening marine bacteria, yeast, and fungi for the production of antimicrobial secondary metabolites. Tracy conducted various tests, such as MIC, MBC, and disc diffusion assays, to evaluate the efficacy of the metabolites against different pathogens.

Tracy then joined Queen's University Belfast as a PhD research student, where they conducted research in their specialized field. Tracy later joined Quotient Biodiagnostics as a Development Scientist, focusing on the development of scientific advancements.

Tracy's next position was as a Research Associate at the University of Strathclyde, where they worked within the multidisciplinary ROLEST research facility. Tracy'sresearch focused on the development and application of novel electrically based disinfection and sterilization technology, specifically using High-Intensity Narrow-Spectrum Light (HINS-Light) to inactivate microorganisms.

Currently, Tracy is working at CuanTec as the Head of Science. Tracy previously held the role of Head of Microbiology and Biological Safety Practitioner. Tracy'sexpertise and leadership skills have made their a valuable member of the team.

Additionally, Tracy serves as a Scientific Advisory Board Member at the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre, where they provide their expertise and guidance.

Overall, Tracy White has gained extensive experience in various scientific roles, demonstrating expertise in microbiology, technology development, and antimicrobial research.

Tracy White obtained a BSc (Hons) in Marine Science from the Scottish Association For Marine Science between the years 2002 and 2006. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Microbiology at Queen's University Belfast from 2009 to 2012. Recently, they completed a BTI BioSafety Practitioner degree at The University of Edinburgh, which concluded in 2020.
