Gözde Barim is a Senior R&D Engineer at Cuberg since July 2022, specializing in the development of cathode and cathode-electrolyte interface layers for lithium metal cells, as well as managing technology partnerships. Prior to this role, Gözde served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab (January 2019 - July 2022), focusing on the design and synthesis of heterogeneous electrode materials for rechargeable batteries and leading safety initiatives within the research group. Gözde's academic background includes a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Southern California, alongside research assistant positions at both Bilkent University and the University of Southern California, where extensive work on electrode materials and energy applications was conducted, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications.
