Johannes Peter

Johannes Peter is a Senior Software Engineer at Torc Robotics since April 2023, focusing on the development of a virtual-testing environment for full-stack simulation of SAE level 4 autonomous class-8 trucks. Previously, Johannes held the position of Softwareingenieur at Daimler Truck AG from May 2022 to March 2023, working on autonomous driving simulations. Johannes was a research scientist and PhD student at the University of Stuttgart from July 2016 to April 2022, contributing to the DFG project SFB-TRR40 on future space-transport system components. Prior experience includes roles as a Simulation Engineer at EDAG Group, where innovative concepts for crash absorbers and method development for CFRP/GFRP structures were explored, and as a working student during which Johannes developed a CAE process-management tool and optimized client-server communication. Education includes a Diplom-Ingenieur in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, completed in January 2014.
