Jing Hong

Jing (Bob) Hong is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in battery management systems (BMS) and high-voltage battery systems. Currently serving as Senior Staff Systems Engineer at Cuberg, Jing is responsible for designing and integrating HV Battery and BMS systems. Previously, as Director of Engineering at EnerDel, Jing built an engineering team and mentored over 25 engineers across two locations. Prior roles at Rivian included Manager and Lead Systems Engineer for Battery Control Systems Engineering, focusing on system architecture and functional safety. At Karma Automotive, Jing led the development of BMS and charging system solutions. Jing's career began at GAC R&D, leading feasibility studies for EV and hybrid powertrains. Jing (Bob) holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive Engineering from South China University of Technology.
