Senior Bioprocess Engineer, Project Lead at Culture Biosciences

Hannah Monroe has worked in a variety of roles in the biotechnology field. In 2021, they began their current role as a Bioprocess Engineer II at Culture Biosciences, and they had previously held the same title at the same company in 2020. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis, where they focused on the conversion of almond hulls into protein-enriched animal feed supplements through the use of a solid-state fermentation conversion process. In 2018, they were an Independent Undergraduate Research at North Carolina State University and an R&D Molecular Biology, Fungal Expression Group Intern at Novozymes. Additionally, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University and a Recovery Production Intern and Fermentation Production Intern at Novozymes in 2017. In 2016, they were an Associate Scientist in Cell Culture Development at Biogen.

Hannah Monroe attended North Carolina State University from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering with a Bioprocessing Concentration. Hannah then attended the University of California, Davis from 2019 to 2021, where they earned a Master of Science in Biological/Biosystems Engineering.
