Kris Tyner

Kris Tyner has over 14 years of experience in the biotechnology field. In 2020, they began working as Senior Director of Bioprocessing at Culture Biosciences. Prior to this, they worked at Zymergen from 2014 to 2020, in roles such as Director of Test Development, Senior Scientist/Associate Director of Fermentation Capability Core, Scientist III, and Scientist II. From 2010 to 2014, they worked at OPX Biotechnologies, Inc. as Senior Scientist of BioProcess Research and Development and Scientist of Physiology and BioProcess Research. Kris began their career in 2006 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at National Jewish Health.

Kris Tyner earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder between 2000 and 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (B.Sc.) with Honours in Genetics and Microbiology from Monash University between 1996 and 1999.
