Alison Skelley

VP R&D Engineering, IP Strategy at Curate Biosciences

Alison Skelley has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences, with a particular focus on microfluidic technology. Alison is currently employed at Curate Biosciences as the VP R&D Engineering and IP Strategy since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Sr. Director Engineering and IP Strategy at the same company from June 2020 to the present, and as the Director of Engineering and IP Strategist from October 2019 to June 2020.

Before joining Curate Biosciences, Alison worked as the Director of Microfluidic R&D at the same company from September 2014 to September 2019. Alison also worked as a Consultant at Curate Biosciences from April 2013 to September 2014.

Alison's previous experience includes working as a Consultant at microFluent from November 2010 to January 2018.

Alison began their career at T2 Biosystems as a Scientist, where they were involved in the development, prototyping, and testing of microfluidic devices for nanoparticle-based assays from May 2008 to July 2009.

Alison's academic background includes serving as a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT from September 2006 to May 2008, where they focused on developing microfluidic devices for studying stem cells. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of California, Berkeley from January 2006 to July 2006, and as a Graduate Research Assistant from September 2000 to December 2005.

Alison Skelley pursued their education in a field of strong scientific background. Alison completed their Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, during the period of 2000 to 2005. Following this, they undertook postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2008, focusing on Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
