Claudia Amodeo

Claudia Amodeo has over 13 years of experience in financial planning and analysis. Claudia began their career in 2007 as Director Financial Planning & Reporting at TLC for Discovery Communications. In this role, they lead annual, quarterly and monthly operating and financial reviews with executive management and budget managers. Claudia also reviewed monthly network financials and explained variance to plan, forecast and prior year. Additionally, they advised senior team on risk and opportunities to find solutions to mitigate financial exposure.

In 2009, Amodeo moved to the role of Director Financial Planning for Planet Green. In this role, they assisted the network CFO in setting up all financial processes for the network launch. Claudia was also a key business partner of the network programming and overhead expenses. Additionally, they assisted the network CFO in the development and implementation of accounting goals, policies, and priorities related to financial management, budgeting, and internal controls.

In 2011, Amodeo moved to the role of Manager Financial Planning & Reporting for Animal Planet and Discovery Kids. In this role, they were responsible for monthly close and the monthly reporting expense packages for Animal Planet and DSC Kids. Claudia also assisted the Director on Animal Planet month end closing, prepared reclasses and accruals and posted journal entries in SAP. Additionally, they provided monthly overhead expenses to cost center managers and reviewed variances to plan and forecast.

In 2015, Amodeo moved to CuriosityStream where they have been Director Financial Planning and Analysis since.

Claudia Amodeo obtained a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile between 1992 and 1996.
