Jan Philippaerts

Jan Philippaerts has extensive work experience in operations, compliance, and finance roles. Jan started their career as a Business Development Intern at Groupon UK & IE in 2010. Jan then worked as a Research Associate at CognoLink Limited before joining Groupon where they held multiple Payment Operations Manager positions from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they moved to Lebara where they served as a Finance Operations Manager and later became the Head of Operations for Lebara Money. In 2017, they joined Urban Jungle Insurance as an Operations Director before moving to Currencycloud in 2018. At Currencycloud, they held various roles including Head of Compliance Operations, VP Compliance Operations, and their current role as VP Ops Strategy and Execution.

Jan Philippaerts completed a Master's degree in Commercial Engineering at KU Leuven from 2007 to 2009. Jan then pursued further studies in Law and Economics, completing a semester abroad at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL in 2008-2009. In 2009, they also obtained a Master's degree in Law and Economics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. Lastly, in 2010, they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of Hamburg.
