Jonathan Bailey Holland

Jonathan Bailey Holland serves as the Dean of the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University and holds a position as Composition Faculty at the Curtis Institute of Music. A prolific composer since February 1990, Jonathan has previously led the School of Music at Carnegie Mellon University and chaired the Composition, Contemporary Music, and Core Studies department at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. As a founding faculty member for the MFA in Music Composition at Vermont College of Fine Arts, Jonathan has contributed significantly to music education and composition. Additional roles include faculty positions at various prestigious institutions, including Berklee College of Music and mentorship within the Curtis Institute of Music. Jonathan holds a PhD in Music from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from the Curtis Institute of Music.
