Roy Yang has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Roy started their career as a Product Design and Verification Engineer Intern at Immenstar in 2005. Roy then served as an Interpreter for Player Development at the Boston Red Sox in 2005. In 2006, they became a Research Assistant at Santa Clara University, focusing on Image and Signal Processing.

In 2007, Roy joined Boeing as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, working on Processes and Tools Integration. Over the years, they progressed to roles such as Production Engineering Manager at the Electrical Systems Responsibility Center, Engineering Leader at the Boeing Zhoushan Completion Center, and eventually, Engineering Director at the same center.

In 2021, Roy joined Lam Research as the Director of Pilot Manufacturing Management, where they stayed until 2023. Later that year, they joined Curtiss-Wright Corporation as a Director of Operations.

Roy Yang earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis from 2000 to 2005. Roy then pursued a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, attending from 2005 to 2007. Later, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus in Technology Management from the University of Washington, completing their studies from 2013 to 2015.
