Rob Dwyer is currently the VP of Customer Engagement at Customer Direct. Prior to this, they were with Happitu for 1 year 10 months, where they held the title of VP - Customer Engagement, and Director of Customer Engagement. In this role, they wrote blogs, spoke on panels, met and interviewed interesting people, and showed them how Happitu could make their team more confident, more efficient, and CX ambassadors for their business. Rob then moved on to Customer Direct, where they spent 6 years 4 months as the VP - Customer Engagement, Director of Customer Engagement, and Director - Staff Development. In this role, they wrote blogs, spoke on panels, met and interviewed interesting people, and showed them how Customer Direct could provide them with confident, efficient, CX ambassadors for their business. Rob also led the development department, oversaw the migration to virtual training, worked with new clients, and led quality operations. Rob is now a podcast host for Next in Queue, where they introduce people in and around the Contact Center and CX industries who share their stories and expertise. Prior to their career in customer service and engagement, Rob was a baseball umpire for 18 years 5 months at the college level. Rob also has experience in mortgage banking, having served as a leader at Wachovia for 1 year 10 months, and as an account executive at World Savings for 1 year 3 months.

Rob Dwyer attended The University of Kansas from 1994 to 2000, earning degrees in computer science and English.
