Will Clayton

Will Clayton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Will began their career in 2002 as a Course Development Assistant at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Will then worked as a Grant Writer and Summer Intern at The Science Factory Hands-on Children's Museum in 2003.

In 2004, Will served as a Design and Analysis Intern for the Equipment & Energy Team at Combat Feeding Directorate U.S. Army Natick Soldier Center. Will then worked as a Visiting Scholar and Program Analyst at Environmental Resources Trust (ERT) in 2005, conducting research on energy and environmental policies.

Will joined athenahealth in 2006 and held multiple roles including Claim Analytics and Reporting Associate, Business Process Analytics Associate, Senior Strategic Operations Associate, Offshore Operations Manager, and Manager of Strategic Operations. In these positions, they focused on optimizing operational processes, identifying and quantifying performance issues, and driving efficiency improvements.

From 2010 to 2012, Will was an MBA student at Harvard Business School. After completing their degree, they joined Apple Inc. as an Intern, conducting research on inventory management and presenting findings to senior executives.

In 2012, Will joined Simple Finance as a Business Operations Manager. Will progressed to roles such as Director of Customer Activation, Director of Business Operations, Senior Director of Business Operations, and Senior Director of Operational Excellence. During their time at Simple Finance, Will was responsible for leading various functions and driving improvements in operational quality, risk strategy, and partner management.

Since 2019, Will has been working at Customer.io, initially as a Principal Data Analyst and currently as the Head of Data Analytics and Strategic Finance. In these roles, they have utilized their analytical skills to provide strategic insights and support decision-making processes.

Will Clayton attended the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Systems Design. Following this, they pursued further education at the Harvard Business School between 2010 and 2012, acquiring an MBA with distinction, specializing in Entrepreneurship and General Management.
